Who EDC's a Regular?

My first Sebbie was a Lg Regular, and has always been in my EDC rotation. Currently rotates with a couple Sm 21s (Tanto Micarta, & Raindrop SS w/Barry H Scales). That knife has worn many holes in several Levi's & dockers, back pockets. That blade is so perfect, Wish that I had bought one in Damascus but went small.

Mine has the side ribbing on scales, love the finger grooves & everything about it. She was the first CR folder I'd ever handled, bought her new, on the spot. Wife thought I was nuts. What else is new?

Happy cutting & carrying!
Mike B

Pictures please! Especially of the Raindrop Damascus w/ Barry H Scales.

I have 3 CRK knives. All plain, lefty Regulars. 2 large, double lugged, S30V versions and one small BG42. These knives are particularly hard to find in left handed. I use them all and somehow my favorite is always the one I'm carrying at the moment, but the larges get the most use for sure. I recently got one of them back from the the Spa. The notes said they had replaced one of the screws--I don't know which and you cant tell from looking at them, so I guess they do have some replacements available. The Regular is so minimalist and perfect, my all time favorite folder for sure, though I do switch to Spydercos for travel, or just to remind myself how much I miss those Regs.

I have a single Sebenza, a large regular with dual thumbstuds. It's the only one I want, unless I come across a large flat-ground.

BTW the regulars were discontinued in 2007, not 2008. I remember because I placed an order for mine on the last day they were still offered.

From what I've read the last day to place an order for a Regular was May 2, 2008. I've seen a Regular with a June '08 birthdate, and mine is 3/18/08.

You're quite right. It was 2008, not 2007. '07 was the year they discontinued the CGGs.

I carry a small Reg BG-42 everyday and switch betweena Lg. Reg BG-42 and my Zaan for second knife. I love how the Regular feels in my hand.

I'm carrying this one today. BG-42 large annual with desert ironwood.....

What I noticed about the Regular is the jimping is really non-existent...and I thought people complain about the 21 jimping lol. My hand just locks in better to the small 21, and is overall more comfortable holding the 21. The Regular is so very classic CRK, and there's a lot of nostalgia there, I must say.

Hate to say it, but I'm having to let my specimen go. It's just too nice and perfect for me to carry, and I just hate having any knives that sit in the safe. If I were a collector, I'd be stoked to have it, but I know there's someone out there that will appreciate it more than I do. :)

Fully understand, but just a word of warning-be sure you will not want one in the future, These may get very hard to find down the road. When I started out just a few years ago you could pick up P models fairly easily and for not that much-no longer

Totally understand, my friend. I can't bring myself to have knives as investments. I enjoy carrying and using my 21's, and I want someone else to enjoy this one. It's hard for me to enjoy if I can't have it on me everyday. :)
