Man there are trees down all over and about 4-6" on the ground (so far). Got out and made sure the dog survived the night, she did. Thank the good Lord for the insulating effects of hay. No limbs down on the house yet and we only had a mere flickering of power outtage last night. Sounds like most of Springfield is frozen and no one is doing a thing today. Looks like I have a day off. I am praying momma doesn't go into labor today also.

Wow, glad you folks are safe and inside. Here's to you and and the possibility of becoming PrOBGYNer:eek: .

Aw crud, the wife says I need to mow the lawn this weekend!  :p

Be careful Rich, I think 'gunner is making a list of us smartarses. ;)

Snow schmo. If I was in Iowa like DA, I'd be out looking for pheasants!!! Of course, here in Tucson, the impact of a snow storm elsewhere is kind of lost on me. BUT, but, but I did grow in Illinois...does that count for anything?

Currently it is 84F and sunny here:mad:

If it gets any hotter I'm going to have to put on a pair of trunks and jump in the pool. The big problem is the pool temp is only 76F and I hate cold water;)

Don't be too jealous... it is going to dip into the low to mid 60s tonight (BBBRRRRRRR!)

Winters are great... but the summers and storms even things out.

Stay safe in the north! (I used to live in Pennsylvania, so I do know what snow is;) )

We've been in the teens at night lately...

One of my neighbors burned his house down two nights ago trying to thaw a pipe with a blowtorch....

Yup, I slid down a hill, and across two lanes this morning. I missed cars in both lanes by mere feet! I have an Audi with Quattro, and 25 was my max speed this morning. I got outa work early, and all the ice was gone... Replaced by 4 inches of snow (and they cut 17 of our cities plows from the budget this year, gotta love this crappy Michigan economy)!

I'm in PA., and it's 70 degrees + BUT... NOT for long. IT is coming. That FRONT LINE has gotta be between here & Pittsburg, BUT I can't complain!!!:D it's rare that I get to enjoy a warm day within 2 weeks of my B-day. Usually it's cold and dark... & occasionally forgotten about, because it's too close to X-mas. :p

I hope I don't lose JUICE/CABLE. LOL Guess I'd better top off the laptop batteries. :D

Jaxx:cool:

Hogfeet,
Where you at that it is that warm? I get summer highs over 125 every year and we got down into the twenties for an overnight low more than once this week.
