Who else here is a fan of 80's Camo Carbon?

I'll see your Trapper Keeper Urban Commando, and I'll raise you Lisa Frank Jungle Cat :D

Honestly, I didn't know there was a CF called 80s camo that looks nothing like any pattern of camo I saw in the '80s. Then again, I was born in '81, so my frame of reference for camo of the time was whatever kind of mud or paint Arnold or Sly slathered on themselves before the final showdown.

How come?
To use my 12-year-old's excuse: it's a texture thing. I found out my hands can't stand the feel of it, like corduroy. I've handled enough to be certain. Even smooth and polished gives a weird sensation. G10 and CF ply is OK, though. It saddens me, because the one knife specimen with CF I decided to keep because I really like it feels much better with the aluminum version I picked up later, now serves to remind me not to get any more.

That said, if they do whip up some kind of late '80's/early '90's neon trapperkeeper graphics the nostalgia bug might get me. I'll just have to wear one bedazzled glove.

Interesting E edgelion . How do you feel about G10? I don't mean the production knife peel ply G10, but G10 from a custom maker that has been finished smooth. To me, the tactile feedback between CF and G10 is practically indistinguishable.

None of the other composites with whatever blends of fiberglass, nylon, epoxy, etc. do it (though I dont think i ever actually used a tool with smooth G10). It's only carbon. Ever since I was a kid, used to draw a lot, but couldn't stand pencil dust. Later I got a newfangled graphite fishing rod, light and tough but I only touch the handle or the eyelets. I'll work in dirt, sand, garbage - no gloves. I'll shovel coal until the job is done, but disappear right away to wash my hands and make sure the coal dust is out from under my nails. It's weird, I know, but that's how it is.

You’d think a quick google search would’ve eliminated all the guess work.

I have 1 with it and I love it. I’ll try to grab a pic later.
did that, but still felt like complaining......so I did......

Outstanding patterns on those! Love it.
Thanks I enjoy checking them out as well. They definitely take great pictures. Sometimes I think the pictures look better than real life lol
