I recently added D-guard to my mistress. I love it, makes it feel much more secure in my hand! .

D-guards are great on choppers. I use mine to allow a very rearward grip for more swing action. (ooh err...)

Well, I had long ends left after doing the first and had to do something with them... seemed the obvious choice.

Me I love them :)

From before she became collateral on an interest free loan:

I'm jealous of the snakeskin. David wins BTW.....

Dave's titanium D guards might be cool, but the best D guards came right from Busse.

No guard for me, just gets in the way, makes trouble for my sheath, and I just don't see the point. Maybe one day I'll get there...

This one has a steel cable core, so it's fairly stiff and springy. Still, its ability to act as a 'guard' against anything more than light vegetation is limited by the fact that it's not solid. I'm surprised no one has started manufacturing stainless steel guards for popular Busse models - like Dave Brown's titanium guard, but a simpler design. They would allow you to convert your favorite (forward-weighted) Busse chopper into a more nimble and better-protected fighter.
