Who else loves D-guards!

This one has a steel cable core, so it's fairly stiff and springy. Still, its ability to act as a 'guard' against anything more than light vegetation is limited by the fact that it's not solid. I'm surprised no one has started manufacturing stainless steel guards for popular Busse models - like Dave Brown's titanium guard, but a simpler design. They would allow you to convert your favorite (forward-weighted) Busse chopper into a more nimble and better-protected fighter.

One slight problem and one reason my buddy decided one was enough, was that he made it for his own ASH which I traded him out of :)

Also Since Busse already made one and offered it out to the public, he left the sales of that to Jerry.

Another thing I could think of is they would be very knife model specific, these do not fit on any of my other Busse's :)

We should ask Jerry to bring back a version of the Holy Terror :)

I'd be in for a Holy Terror redux that fit a Fusion or ASHBM handle.

I'd see the Holy Terror as catering to a different and more specialized market niche than a simple guard. Looking at the various pocket tools and knucks that folks are machining in small batches and offering on the Exchange, I'd have thought it would be possible to produce a simple guard in plain-jane stainless for around $50-75.

I guess one possibility would be to find a small group who were interested in a guards for a specific model (e.g. ASHBM), agree on a design, and then approach a few machinists to see who would be willing to make one.
