Hi ,

I'm trying to locate some production frame lock folders . I thought Benchmade made one but I did not see it on their site . Does anyone know of any production frame locks . Looking for good quality makes not any junk . Thanks for any help

The Benchmade version was discontinued...it was called the 750..if you'd posted a week ago I would have had one for you!
sorry,
Matt
check around though...they are great!

Thanks for the names . I thought I had lost my mind on the benchmade , good to hear they did make one . I'll see if I can locate one . Been thinking about an EDC . May just have to try one of those also . Thanks for the help>>

-Benchmade 750 (disc.)
-Camillus EDC
-Outdoor Edge Paragee
-William Henry Evolution Series
I am sure there are others!

DOH! I can't believe I forgot the MAXX!!??!! I guess it is in a class by itself! ;) :D ;)

Outdoor Edge Paragee
Kershaw Chive and Vapor
CRKT K.I.S.S.
Camillus CUDA Maxx

There is another one that is made by Schrade, but I am not sure what the model is and never seen one.

Edited to add.

I can see others were typing away at the same time I was.

Thanks kevtan, that site shows that there are quite a few production frame locks. The Spyderco Salsa is a compression lock and is certainly not a standard frame lock.

Thanks for all the replies guys . I have been out of production knives so long I did not relize there were so many frame locks . Peter , mail coming .

Thanks again

What is Benchmade's web address? My searches only give me retailers and I what to see their whole current line up, not just what xyz.com is selling.

BTW, where can I find some small S-2's? Are those discontinued too?

I did another check after my last post. Benchmade's site seems more like a store front than a product website. Product info is slim on benchmade's site too.

The real shame is the below sites are better; not only in price but in selection.

http://www.benchmadestore.com/

http://www.knifecenter.com/welcome2.html

Actually, the Benchmade site is typical of most company websites and I've seen a lot worse. As for prices, like all company websites, they sell at MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price)--so they will never have the best price. I'm not sure what you mean by selection--but Benchmade won't show discontinued models whereas knife store sites might have old stock that they are trying to get rid of. Other than that, there should be all available models listed on the site.

Clint, check out southsummit.com for those S-2's. They are selling them for $24.95 + 8$ s/h!!!!!!!!!!!!! great knife, great price.

As for other good deals, check out ultout.com and http://www.cnejs-hunting-fishing.com/index.htm

For a nice 4 rod Lansky turn box crock stick sharpener for $14, check out wholesalehunter.com. dam good deal.

when in doubt, you cant go wrong with newgraham.com either.

All these places have the best prices of any I've come across after spending hours browsing a bunch of places...

Good lord, the S-2 at $24.95 seems to be a bargain, although it's only available in the serrated edge model...
If they had just put dual thumbstuds on it to make it at least lefty neutral I would probably buy one myself...

The Mission MPF is also a framelock...
