Who else would buy a framelock Tenacious?

If Spyderco made a Tenacious with a stainless steel frame, and a linerless G10 non locking scale, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Who else feels the same?

I wouldn't. As weird as this sounds, especially considering that there's a fair number of framelocking spydies out there, I don't feel the frame lock aesthetic fits well on a spyderco. That, and being a lefty, a liner lock is much more comfortable for me.

I cant think of a single full size stainless framelock from Spyderco. The Cricket is the only Spyderco stainless framelock I know of at all.

Basically, I want a stainless framelock with a Spyderhole and a 3"+ blade.

With 8Cr13MoV? No. SS framelock with linerless G10 in general sounds like a decent idea, but other factors would decide whether I pick it up or not. Liner lock vs. frame lock is really a non-deciding factor to me, they are the same to me with very little exception. In fact I may prefer a liner lock slightly due to the ability to achieve an overall lighter knife, and the aesthetics are better in general when both sides look the same.

The tenacious is the perfect entry level Spyderco knife. I don't think that the shape and design merit an expensive frame lock. Unique designs such as the Southard do. My 0.02

There are lots of cheap stainless frame lock knives. It's when you change it to titanium that the price jumps up (and the OP mentions it being stainless specifically)

I'd be interested, but not in a linerless G10-side (I'm weird like that) especially if the price were low enough - though, I'd probably rather see a Byrd-style choil on the knife if we're talking about what we'd want to see.

I wouldn't mind if it were a different model knife than the Tenacious
there's something that I don't love about the handle

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I would like to see the Tenacious improved on. It just doesn't feel good in my hand and it's quite bulky for what it is.

The Junior is also another perfect entry level Spyderco, but won't be as affordable as the Tenacious. It also looks and feels "unique". I'd suggest handling it before purchase but it's also not just for beginners, IMHO.
I personally find frame-locks safer and easier to use but it may also bump up "best bang for your buck" prices. It may drive manufacturing and retail costs up too much. Spyderco stands by it's motto though; they constantly think of ways to improve everything.

I have faith in them too. If it's possible, practical, cost-effective (on both ends), and sometimes even if it's requested enough, we'll see it.
Again, IMHO.

*just a guess... post # 4 maybe? Only 46 to go xD

I probably wouldn't buy a framelock Tenacious. The Tenacious is a 'value' level folder for Spyderco, and they would have to use a stainless frame slab to maintain the price point. That would push the weight up considerably. Other than maybe some custom G-10 scales, I'd leave the Tenacious just the way that is.

I'd like a Tenacious with upgraded steel option that's for sure. Framelock Tenacious, I dont know, gotta see it first... Im so used to the lock/deployment on my Tenacious, its like second nature when I use it.

The southard is a 3 inch framelock.
I'd go for it if it were titanium not SS its already kinda heavy in my opinion. Adding a chunk of steel to the side would be too much. Also they'd have to put a better steel on it for me to like it more. Like vg-10 maybe.
I personally thing that its just too bulky of a knife to carry. My para 2 is about the limit of what I want to carry. I like to be able to get my hand in my right pocket with a knife clipped to it still.

I can't say that I'd go for a framelock version of the Tenacious, either. Making it stainless steel would push the weight up a little too much for me.

It's not doing it for me either, all original with a VG10 upgrade is another story......
