Who ever said you can't have fun in the city?

Cool thread. I think though, in all honesty, the only way I'd have a 9 is if someone gave it to me. Yes, at one time I wanted one, but not really anymore..

I chalk it up to the "little guy, with the little (cough) drives a Ferrari" way of thinking. I could be wrong but....

I've never needed a Ferrari

I never needed a supercar either, if fact I hate them, But there have been plenty of times where I found the BK9 to be very useful. And before that it was a cheap pakistani bowie that I abused very heavily for about a decade. Every camping trip it was with me getting a lot of use.

Admittedly my love of big knives started when I was young and it was mostly about the cool factor. But now that I'm an adult and have actually used them and understand them more the cool factor is only a small part of it. I don't even wear one on my belt in the woods anymore. I just keep it close by and keep a smaller knife on me.

Yeah, I wasn't diggin' on anyone in particular here BH. I was just trying to be a bit of a smartass. I respect the 9er clan and have seen where the 9s are very useful. And, I grew up craving a huge Rambo type knife too, but have never owned one, so I do really understand.
