This guy, that's who!!

While flattening a handle for scales on my surface plate, my work piece grabbed the sandpaper and flipped. Lemme tell ya, true 90° corners are SHARP!

No major injury or anything, just annoying. Be careful out there folks! Stop working before you get too tired to pay attention!

Once in a while, yes. Especially when you've got a feathered convex edge that's already very near sharp.

That's the thing, not a edge sharper than 90° on the dang thing... Still cut myself. I wouldn't really mind if I cut myself on the edge, but noooo. Cut myself on the handle. You're SUPPOSED to hold that part!!!

we have some corian forming a small shelf in our shower. It is sanded to a "sharp" 90 degree corner .... I have sliced myself a couple times - yeah, true 90 degree angles can be sharp :-(

Dont ask me why, after all these years, I have not taken some 260 grit sandpaper to that edge.......

Ice skates have 90 degree edges and can slice skin quite easily.

I have also pierced the end of my finger a couple of times. The blood provides the blades soul :):)

I have cut myself sanding more times than I can count.
In Oct 2010 I ran a mini sword through my thumb ....twice ... while hand sanding it. I can't find the thread and photos right now, but will try to find them tonight.

Beat me to it. I've been lucky so far but it's only a matter of time when I slip with near sharp convexes during finish sanding. It always flutters my stomach though.

Your mission this afternoon is to take a sanding block & a sheet of paper and sand the edges on that shelf in the shower. :p

Not even hand sanding. Pulling a large partly used up sheet of Kydex out of its box. My hand ran along the sharp edge of it, and next, drip, drip...

I like to hone in my bevels to sharp before I add the secondary bevel via hand sanding. I usually end up cutting myself:rolleyes:

If I'm going to bleed... It's always hand sanding lol
