Who gives a Hoot about Hinderers

Great Pics! I grew up with a Mentor Uncle Game Warden and his rescue Owls and Hawks ( complete with scars to commemorate) Neat way to grow up. I attribute much of who I am as a Man today to that Man and the time he gave to me.
Great Pics BH - Thank you for the visit to my memories.

Some what the same for me. Both my parents loved the outdoors and I was raised pretty far out of town. Always hunting and fishing and dragging home some of the weirdest critters. Big rule was, if it was healthy I could only keep it one day then set it free....I understand about the scars. Glad you had some good memories from the thread.

I have to tell you my mother loved your pic. Got a great laugh out of it. I told her you were the one to bring class to every thread...:-)

Wow, this is a very complimentary post. I'm glad she enjoyed it. It was my intention to bring at least a smile to a few.

Thanks.

Thanks for sharing and great pics.

Reminded me of Monty Pythons Holy Grail Killer Rabbit

- Deadly owl guarding its treasure, the skull beneath the owl is a warning.

I dont know never had one. I need to know how one traps an owl. Is it something you said to make him want to stay on the leash. He obviously enjoys the knives.

very cool photo, love those things. Your mom has had a very cool job over the last several years.
Funny you should mention about worrying about grabbing the knife. We had some local kids a few years back that had found a GHO nest in the top of an old abandoned barn. The momma owl flew off but they could hear the little ones in the nest so they did what halfwit kids do, they started throwing rocks up at the nest. I guess they hit one of the little owls and it let momma know. The back of the old barn had caved and was open. Well in flys momma with anger in her eyes and one of the half wit kids goes home with 49 stitches in his scalp and a few other punctures on his face. Unfortunately for the kid, after hitting one of the babies, he had tried to crawl up closer to get a better look; he was the vitim. The Owl jacked him up pretty good. Oh yea, Golden Eagles shouldn't be messed with either or like getting their photos taken obviously :)

Not my photo Obviously

Glad to hear Owls are still allowed to deal with stupid little bastards the way they should be - Open up a case of whoop-A$$.
God I hate stupid kids (people/humans) no wonder I live in the woods, on top of a mountain - with lots (LOTS) of Guns:)
Anyway, Cool photos - Great "Regal" Birds of Prey .

"PC" Disclaimer - When I refer to "Stupid" I mean - Cruel, Ignorant, Callous Creatures NOT the learning disabled or mentally challenged.

These scavengers flew overhead the other day and I thought they might fit into this thread.
