Who got an ARCLITE???

I'm really impressed, especially for the price. Nice design, and even though it's not high end steel, I can put a nice edge back on it fairly quickly.

As mentioned above, I'm going to try cord wrapping the handle on mine as well.

Any one else's blade getting chewed up by the kydex? It's a shame (even at 25 bucks) that the sheath on mine is leaving big scratches all over the blade, and right through the neat graphic. Any one know a good way to polish out the marks or prevent further damage from the sheath? (just don't use it, right?

I too have experienced the blade getting marred by the sheath. I used some Flitz metal polish and it took the scratches right out, and unfortunately, it started to wear away at the neat graphics. At the risk of totally obscuring the graphic, I'll continue to polish the scratches every once in a while. I'm glad this is only a 20.00 dollar knife instead of one of Darrell's customs, in which case I'd be crying right now.

I have one knife in that steel already. Thats one too many!

Ah General,
I just asked this same question of you in the reviews forum,....so what 420HC knife did youhave such a poor experience with?

The steel is what it is. The thing about the ARCLITE is that it is a great design and it costs $20. For the hideout knife that you never use except for an emergency, or for the daily utility that you use and abuse, scratch, pry, and generally trash, it is the perfect solution.

I FINALLY got mine yesterday, and my first impression is great!! It came out of the box shaving sharp. I have one with serrations, and I was concerned about the serrations on the recurved part, but it'll be ok, I suppose.

I'll also be replacing the chain with Paracord as I get a chance.

Nice for 20 bucks!!!

Kudos to Darrel, Will, and the gang.

I should have gotten two Arclites. One for me and one for a Christmas present to my brother, but I apparently got ripped off by Wereb Knives. Here are two threads on the Good, Bad, & Ugly forum that describe the situation:

I am not the only one to get ripped off by Mr. Wereb. I won't go into detail here because it is all in the other threads.

I will have to get an Arclite soon. It seems like an excellent knife for the money.
