Who Got Flu?

I had it for about a week...I know some people that were sick with it close to a month..thank goodness for my Herculean immune system..:D

had it 2 weeks ago... saturday to tuesday... 4 days.

I couldn't get to sleep saturday night so I went to exhaustion approx 2200 sunday. monday I went to work, suffered through my day, and spent most of the day semi sleeping. tuesday I tried getting out of bed and hit the floor. stopped the room from spinning and crawled back into bed. went to work wednesday.

just lots of fluid, no meds. Love my immune system.
 
I'm finally getting over it, had it since Monday. I'm feeling much better but still feel a little drowsy. Bourbon last night didn't help any. :o
 
I work in a hospital and was exposed very early. I got my shot the same day that we found out that myself and about 2 dozen others worked with the same patient. Luckily, I never became symptomatic.

Not got anythimg yet and missed the Flu shot at work.I had the flu this past Feb. for 3weeks and then turned to nemomia(sp)4 weeks total with 1 week out of work.Hope I still have some antibodies let over from that.
Never want to get Nemonia again,talk about something that will knock you on the ground and not let you up.I could not walk from the liveing room to the bed room with out sitting down.This was the first sickness that I had to go the the doctor to get rid of in allmost 20 years.

Haven't missed one in several years, and as a result, no flu for several years.

You can make all of the excuses in the world for not getting a flu shot, but the only good excuse is if you are allergic to the serum.

don't you guys take vitamins?

maybe you're spending too much money on knives and not taking care of yourselves...hehehhehe

eat properly and drink lots of water...water's great...the best thing for your body...

CODE 3 is right. I got a shot once years ago that swelled up on me, a real but minor pain. I skipped shots after that, even though I worked alongside mobs of people and lived in NYC with all its crowds. I didn't get sick all that often, but ... the older you get, the more problems you pick up, the nastier it can get.

Don't take a chance. The shot isn't even a pin-prick. The flu is a b!tch. And pneumonia can KILL you.
 
I haven't had a flu shot since the forced ones in elementry... had a tentus shot in 01 when I sliced my finger at work on an air vent, but thats the only shot I've gotten since fall 97.

Dust and pollin allergies, which can be a bitch, but dristan or allegra fix that annoyance. gotten off pretty lucky so far. 97 was also the flu that tossed me in bed for 3 days with a 103deg fever.

Got one about three weeks ago. Apparently it didn't take. Sure wish it did.
