Who H8s Para-cord?

I think those are absolutely phenomenal looking. My only concern would be how long they stay moist when wet. If you've got high carbon steel, it might introduce rust.

As long as the handle underneath is coated or similarly protected, I like 'em.

I don't mind them as long as the cost reflects the materials used. I enjoy doing them myself too. I think this one looks good:

I love the look of it on a new knife, I think it looks great sitting on/in a display case but for actual use of the knife It wouldn't be my first choice.

i personally don't like how they feel in my hand, to me it just doesn't feel secure enough. on necker and skeleton knives i pefer knurling or file work, but that is just me.

Paracord is far more useful off of a knife handle then on.

Their are no shortages of real handle materials that likely will never break.

On small knives, it works.

I totally misunderstood the title. lol
I thought this was about "who has 8 strand paracord".
Yeah...I don't text much....:)

Back to the topic:
Knife handles wrapped in paracord are not my first choice.
Some people are very creative with the pattern and make it look good.

The cord could be removed and used for other purposes in an emergency situation.

I like paracord on neck-knives because it keeps them cheap light and slim, but I would prefer proper scales on a belt knife or any knife with a blade over 3".

Its not my personal choice on knives but I use it for an unbelievable number of other things. I always have some in my bag, jeep and shop.

It does seem that if it's the only thing on a hard use knife that the maker just took a cheap shortcut. On the other hand it did greatly improve the feel of my Syphone when I wrapped it with gutted paracord. I also like having it wrapped around my Outcast. It gave it some girth and there are several feet wrapped around the handle that may come in handy.

Obligatory, "can't" and "it's".

Back on topic, I love paracord.

:jerkit: they're spelled right, big difference leaving one symbol out to mutilating a word, but this text message speak on the forum is a pet hate.

Anyhoo...I thought this was an interesting use for paracord on a walking staff.

While riding a bike paracord makes good sense. It's a given that every rider will need lashing material at some time(s). A little cord tail suited to what you're wearing makes for easy fast access from under riding gear and lends flawless concealment.

I think though, that on a folder, it may be a slight mis-application.

I Like to use paracord for many things and its quite useful but wrapping it around the handle on a blade is not one of them...
