Who has seen old-school Busse's at a gun/knife show?

.

I'm not falling for this old HOG trick, "Tell us where your Honey hole is for finding old Busse knives cheap!" I have found a couple, but not telling where..................................................

.
:D

I made that mistake once. Spilled the beans to a person no longer a member here. (We just don't see him. He didn't get booted or anything.) He was glomming all over my hole seconds later. ???? He came up empty, tho. :)

I once found this Busse paint scraper at a show. It was all handle and just an inch of chisel after the choil, It was nick named Iron Tongue. I think it was an Straight Handle Iron Tongue LE number 5000.

I bought one of those (but the cheaper BWM handled paint scraper. So far, not too useful for paint scraping!)

It even came with some infi bits to make other stuff out of.

But of course, it did not come a from a show.

I still have never seen another Busse in person outside of a Hog's collection in Utah and my own.

A long time ago when I was collecting Randall Made Knives and never even heard of "Busse Combat", I went to the local gun show which had a knife show going on at the same time. I came to one table and there was boxes and boxes of knives stacked that were all makes and sizes. It was a sale by a family that their dad had passed away and they were selling everything. I over heard one of them hold up a knife and ask, "What is this and how much is it?" one of the family members replied, "It is a old Busse knife and is $500." Since I had never heard of Busse knives before, I didn't pay enough attention to even remember what it looked like. I would be curious now to know what it was. At least I know it wasn't a FOLDER! Since then, outside of The Blade show and Blade West, I have only seen a couple for sale that were bargins.
