Here is some cherry log splitting.

Great pics Oge. Thanks for sharing.

I processed a deer once start to finish with a ratchet just to see if it could be done. Worked great and has had a spot in my game processing pack ever since.

I chopped up bluegill for catfish bait with mine for a season before I traded to a friend. Worked well but I had to replace a board at my dock from chopping through too many times. It's definitely not to be considered an axe. Ulu yes, axe, No.

Great pics!!! Looks like one tough little work horse!!! Nice use of wedges!!!

I'm feeling it would be a great pack companion. Use when want or need but throw the pack and have it ready.

I never go in the wood's without it.

Skinning a car, then push cutting a piece of paper. This is why I carry a busse.

Wow!!! Some very impressive pics!!! Do you feel like INFI is a must have on a Paul's? I know originally you talked about print, but it looks like that handle has a very similiar if not the same print as a res-c handle.

Infi isn't a must, sr101 is a very good steel as well.

I will try to get a few side by side pic's later. The shoulder on the grip is wider on the ratchet.

It's a bit like a broken knife with a wide blade...

No length or weight for chopping. No point for stabbing. No weight for hammering stuff with. No length for slicing.

About every 5 inch+ knife will those things better.
But if you want a safer whittling/carving blade then sure, go for it

Here are the handle pic's. You can see there is a difference in the thickness. I love the feel of the ratchet. It is nowhere near as nimble as the hatchet.

+10 Chop as many car fenders as turn you on. You still have a virtually worthless, $200 , MOSTLY USELESS , TINY HATCHET. Get a good knife. LOL

Wow! some really great pics....

I really see what you mean by the difference in the handle. Thanks again for the post.

Seems someone is pretty foolish to say something is virtually worthless and mostly useless whether you agree or not it shows your ignorance... Seems like people who use the hatchet disagree. How much experience do you have with a Paul's Hatchet or Ratchet?

Thank ya freehouse. It does make a difference if you crawling around, or through cramped space's.

I have a slew of pic's somewhere. I'll try to dig more up.

It seems like it is a real winner for game and fish processing. Sounds like it makes quick work of bones and useful in the kitchen too. Judging by the use of your hatchet I know which one you favor!

That poor thing is beaten like it stole something.

It is good for game meat. Cutting tender loin's out is a little tricky.

I just got one in my hands. Much smaller head than I anticipated. Very solid and nice, I like it, I just wish it was about a inch wider and an inch longer blade. I think it would be a super awesome user then!
