who here decides what to carry because they are worried what the sheeple will think?

If I cared what the "sheeple" thought, I wouldn't be carrying my Glock. I do care about what is legal though. That makes the post office inconvenient for me.

I say, carry what's legal and don't go out of your way to scare anyone.

When I work, I carry what I want because there is no checkpoint. However, I only ever bring out my little Victorinox Classic mini-SAK for chores like helping set up my work equipment. I only bring it out because it's all I need; or if I forget the Classic, I always have my Micra as a spare.

I see no need to pull out my bigger knife to make a statement. In fact, doing so is counterproductive to us knife lovers, like it or not. It does no good for someone to be "in-your-face" to show they don't care what anyone thinks about their big knife.

I've never had any problems with any of my EDC knives scaring away people. Maybe it's me...?

My current EDC is a Victorinox XLT and I love it.

I tend to make my choice on what I will carry based on where I will be going that day. If I am going to work I carry a smaller fixed blade. Days off around town I carry a larger FB and when I am heading out to the country or mountains I tend to carry a big knife. What other people think is probably the only reason I do this. If I wasn't concerned about what other people thought I guess I would have a 10 inch bowie on my belt every day.
