i have a older s&w 1076 in 10mm and i love the way it shoots. i think i would pick that over my kimber custom eclipse:foot::foot::D:D i just shoot alot better with the smith than the kimber. anyone else pick an older gun over a brand new higher quality more expensive gun???

I love the 10mm myself never felt the recoil was an issue. Love the 1006, always wanted one as a kid when it came out. Now I want a 610 the 10mm revolver.

the old smiths are so big the recoil is realy not that bad imo. i want my dads dan wessin 10 mm with busse grips looks great i will post pics later.

I like 10mm. One of my favorite calibers out there. I also love 7.62 NATO and would love to try out some 6.8SPC to see if it's as great as I've read. I guess I just like my rounds big :D.

I have been eying a Glock 20 for awhile... it is on the short list. I don't have space currently to handload which has kept it from the #1 slot.

Personally, Glocks' are nice, but I like 10's with names like Bo Derek, Scarlett Johansson, or Kate Beckinsale better.

I have a kimber in the centimeter. I love it little bit bigger bang with the nice comfortable slim 1911 grip. But feeding it double tap ammo is getting too expensive. I'm going to start reloading and try some georgia arms ammo.

Totally agree on the 10. Great shooter. But per shot it is truly expensive! Let us know how the budget ammo search works out!

georgia arms is good ammo, i buy it from the gun shows around here. also anyone use black talon for a home defense round?

Want a 10mm just trying to figure out which one to get .Use talons in all my weapons .

I am wantin a glock 20 one f these days... 16 rounds or so in a compact package intrigues me. .41 mag power in a fast/light package.

When I was shooting IPSC I used a Glock 20 and a Glock 21 alternately to see which I shot better. I always scored higher with the 10mm. With Plus 2 floor plates on all my pre-ban magazines and one in the chamber, I can have 18 rounds before a reload. It was always fun to hear a range officer say "I don't care if that IS a Glock, you have to reload SOMETIME!":D

I use Winchester Silvertips in the 20, and Cor-Bon 135s in the 29. I'm not real recoil sensitive.;)

how is the recoil in the silvertips vs. the talons?

Double tap makes some great 10mm ammo. I shoot their 357 loads, they are full power. But still very reasonable. All ammo is going up, still a bargain compare to others.

I've had (3) 10mm pistols...A Colt Delta Elite 1911, a Tangfallo Witness (or something like that), and the Glock 20 that I currently carry...Out of those 3, I like my Glock the best. I generally carry the Federal 125 JHP, or the Winchester Silvertip, in my Glock.

...A Glock 20 is a "compact"? I must have the wrong one, as MY model 20 is as thick as a brick.:D.:D.
