Who here makes knives by hand

After one or two most people decide that files suck and buy some tools :D
i love files. the serve me well, untill they get dull then they serve as a knife:) i use more files than i do grinders. mostly because grinders are to inpercise for me. id rather take the time and sweat to do most of the work i can with a coarse file. has anyone ever made a knife from what they can find in the woods? i was camping one time and i made a pretty decent knife from some scrap steel i found. my hammer was a rr spike lashed into a stick with a rock as and anvil. forge was a campfire's coals. worked suprisingly well!

when I started being able to sell stuff for $200 or so she stopped criticizing

I would be in tall cotton if I could get this for one. People around here are very reluctant to pay $100 for one. I even tried ebay, not a whole lot of luck there.
I made the first two with files, portble drill, and sandpaper. I went from there to a 1"x42" belt grinder. Then a 2"x48" for awhile, now have a Coote 2"x72". I am now finishing #18(CPM3V), being a hobbyist I don't know if I will ever go to a KMG or not.
