His point wasn’t sales numbers…Bugatti’s are “crafted” by highly skilled “artisans” if you will, and take weeks to create. Toyota’a are pumped out by the thousands daily.
Yes, by the thousands daily. Sort of like Victorinox SAK’s , for the masses.Oh, and did i mention dependability and sales that exceeds all others.

Funny analogy considering Toyota out sells Bugatti
I think the reference was meant more like a “he’s the only one who knows how to properly heat treat this crazy super steel”…

In the way that Toyota doesn’t go around making 300MPH, 1,500HP daily drivers. They can’t. They make a nice economic car, more like a D2 Ontario Rat, gets the job done well, and is a relative bargain.
Car and knife analogies can be tricky lol

Are we seriously arguing over the quality of different car manufacturers in a thread about heat treating knives? I knew us Benchmade fanboys defended or brand pretty hard, but I had no idea Toyota had such a loyal following on knife forums!
Oh yeah, whenever there’s a bunch of guys arguing over ANYTHING, you can bet there will be a car analogy thrown in lol

My comment was solely based upon performance.

Shawn's knives and protocols are created to get every last bit of performance out of the steels in question. Whether it's from stability to edge rentention to toughness, to carrying a 25kg kettle ball in his pocket...

The dudes top of his game.

BBB aka Shawn Houston is a fine gentleman, an accomplished knife maker and a confirmed steel geek regardless of what handle he uses here or elsewhere.

He also has a good sense of humor and is a fine friend.

I think the questions have been answered now and we are safe to move on to other controversies.
