Hey, wait a minute. How'd I get to be the bouncer here? I don't work for free!(stopped bouncing a long time ago at the suggestion of Mrs Lifter due to uh, er, ah, socializing)
Nakano, if you bring tuff cloths again, save me one.
I'm gonna rest up. Gonna need lots of energy to haggle with Les

Guys, I'll be making a trip to the Mid-West from Nov 7-10, will it cost me a bomb to fly to NY from Colorado?

Errr, even if I reach there safely, are there any good and cheap place to crash?

Hello All,

I will be there. It will cost me more to spend one night at the Sheraton than the round trip flight from Little Rock to NY!

It is a great show. See you all there.

Larry

A note about NYC hotels: we now have lots of good, safe, reliable hotels in the $80-$120 price range; Sheraton prices are outrageous and geared for expense account execs. Check out internet sites that deal with hotel rooms and you can do lots better. A note about NYC geography: anything between 6th Avenue and 8th Avenue, 34th Street to 57th Street will be within a comfortable (20-30 minute) walking distance of the hotel. Use public transportation and save lots over cabs - most NYC cab drivers don't speak English and have no idea where anything is, so..... Anyway, if I can help anyone with NYC info, let me know. Have lived here for lots of years....

I'll still put my money on Lifter.
2 to 1 odds. Any takers?

Maury makes some good points. One thing to consider is that the NY Marathon is the same weekend as the show. That is going to eat up a lot of rooms.

Are those 2-1 odds before or after he gets done haggling with me?

Wow, sounds like a lot of folks are going to be at this show. My plans have now changed and it looks like I will be going down on Friday instead of Sunday myself.

As much as I cant wait to see the knives, I also cant wait to see you Phil, you mysterious picture taking bastid, and of course it will be fun to also meet up with Darrel, the author of the bastid dictionary, and you other chat and forum bastids.

Quick note. The NYC Marathon is on Nov. 5th.
Hopefully everyone will have finished by show time.
