I sent an ebay message to Greymenace yesterday. I always come up against him on schrade auctions. He (she ?) clearly has a love for schrades, especially older open stock patterns, so I invited him to join us on the schrade forum.

Unless he's already here....

Does anyone know Greymenace?

Glenn

Glenn,
Dont know Greymenace. I have been occasionaly emailing a few Schrade bidders on EBay and rarely get any response. Did run into a BF lurker yesterday and we had a great couple of emails. Hope he will drop in sometime and say hello.
Just makes me wonder how many folks are lurkers??
If you are out there, nows your chance. Just say hit the reply button and say howdy!
TTYL,

Larry

I see Greymenace all the time and thought he was probably a regular here. There are a couple of big Schrade buyers on eBay whose names I don't recognize in this forum.

Hi all,

Lurking has such a negative connotation. :o I read this forum regularly, but only post if I have something to add or to ask, which is not all that often. But thanks to all the regular posters who make the forum what it is.

Regards,
Dave

P.S. I'm NOT greymenace

Hi all,

I one of those lurkers too. I typically find the answers to my questions without having to ask and just enjoy reading the responses.

I didn't know this site existed until earlier this year when I lost my last 104OT and went to buy another. OH NO!---my knife isn't made anymore and there's no more in stock!!!!! After the panic went away, I did some internet searching to find out what happened and found this site.

I carry either a 72OT or a 104OT, so if you see my name in an ebay bidding war, it will usually be for a peanut or pen knife.

Kevin and Dave, Welcome! You guys might think you have nothing to add... let us be the judge of that, huh?
Best to you both,
Phil

Glad you posted to say hi! Perhaps we should use the term "guests" instead of "lurkers". Please feel free to ask questions though. We all learn when you do. Some questions send us scrambling to our archives, or to our catalogs, or to our collections searching for answers to "Schrade Trivia" questions that had never crossed our minds before. As we continue to remind ourselves, THE book on Imperial Schrade, the company, the people, and the knives is yet to be written. And new information is continually coming to light.
