Hey, poboy--which Marlowe did you order? I'll (hopefully) be ordering from him sometime soon as well--let me know how yours turns out.
 
I'll have to give Marlow a try next, I tried several times last October/November to place an order with Mr. Obenauf, had talked to him on the phone a couple times, and sent several emails, and he always promises to check on somthing or other and get back with me, but to date has never followed through. I finally gave up on him. I just bought one of his knives used, it isn't the same style or handle material I was wanting, but should be here this week. Guess I'll soon see what I've been missing. Shame I wasn't able to convince him to make one for me. :(
 
Hey JD and Zenghost I have a Marlowe coming in the next couple of weeks. I ordered the speearpoint he introduced back in January. It has a 4" blade of BG42 and is 3/16" thick with some deep hollow grinds. Went with all micarta handle slabs in black linen and .083" thick titanium liners. Of course it will have a solid stainless steel backspacer. I'm really looking forward to this knife as I've never held or seen a Marlowe in person but everyone I've read about has nothing but good things to say.

...and if the fit and finish of my bali is any indication of the fit and finish of his folders, then I think you're really going to enjoy the knife. Also, Charles puts quite an edge on his blade.

SWEET bali Zen! Like I said, EVERYTHING I've heard from others concerning Charles's knives is positive!! I'm fully expecting to have my socks knocked off when it arrives!!:eek: :D :cool: :)
