  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Who is Tad Lynch?

I just got word that my knife will be on its way to me shortly:)
It was a lot of fun to do this thread, and there are still some pictures to come.

But, in the meantime, I'll stop teasing you all and give you a good view of the whole thing;

Pretty excited to get this knife, as you can imagine!:D

I can't with hold these photos over the weekend! That just wouldn't be fair...

When I have this knife in hand next week, I will take some shots of my own and perform some testing for ya'll.

And peterinct, I'll even provide specs:)

Many thanks to Lorien for doing up the thread and to everyone else for the compliments, I really appreciate it. It was really fun for me working from someone else's design. While it does limit the creative juices somewhat, it challenges you to do something that's a little out of your comfort zone, e.g. the plunge line--I'm definitely not used to this type of grind.

I'm really happy with the look and feel of the knife.

Thanks again,

Tad

Well you did a great job of that plunge line. It looks immaculate.
You certainly nailed the fit and finish on this design.

Those curved plunges are MUCH easier to grind if you forge them in first. Speak to Dan Farr when you are at Blade - he will be happy to give you some tips on techniques.
