Who is using their Lionsteel SR-1?

Got mine in today also and it is bigger than I thought but it is great ! Too large for edc but for certain times. Waiting to get a smaller version as Gianni said they might. I have the gold annodized version. Wow, this is some knife. To think another one piece folder is 4 times the price. All the attributes of a great folder is built inthis knife!!

Just thought I would bump this thread to see how people are liking these since more have been made now.

I'm really interested to hear what people think about the blade steel. It holds an amazing edge for me and just curious if others are having the same experience?

I'm just curious. I was on the original list but had to back out on this one. Is Lionsteel currently producing this knife, and not the aluminum version, but the original ti version?

The knives have been coming out in batches so I'm not a 100 sure what they are working on but I think a batch of the Ti ones were just finished. I also read the first group of aluminum knives would be done around Christmas if I remember correctly. I don't know if they will immediately start on another run of Ti or work on other knives. It's best to go to the website and contact them and get on a list for what you want. The ti is a little heavier but I like it quite a bit better than aluminum. The ti also comes with the Sleipner steel while the AL comes with D2.

i like mine a lot, but only carry it occassionally.

its big and heavy, with a thick blade.

the blade on mine was off center when i got it, but after carry, use, and minor pivot adjustments, it is now perfectly centered. odd, but ill take it.

opening will tear up your thumb, the detent is very strong. but mine is broken in pretty nicely, and ive gotten used to the stiff opening.

overall, im very pleased. i can't really comment on edge retention or steel performance, but it cuts cardboard very well. ;)
