I liked Michael Keaton until "Batman Begins", then Christian Bale blew him out of the water (IMHO). I thought Clooney and Kilmer were weak, and I've always considered Adam West a bit of a joke. Who did you like best?

i have to go with adam west, i think he won an emmy for his work in batman, uh well maybe not. I'm an old guy who didn't read batman comics so the tv show was my first exposure to the character. of the new crop i would have to go with bale. later, ahgar
by the way catwoman was hot.

I always liked the way Michael Keaton played Bruce Wayne. I'm proud to say I've never seen the 3rd or 4th Batman movies.

Christian Bale did a fairly good Batman.

I wish they'd teach him some martial arts or something, though.

All of the fight scenes in Batman Begins are really choppy and the editing and jumping around is distracting.

Editing isn't the fault of the star. Not every actor is a martial arts, EDC ninja badass who can survive the end of the world with only the gear in their shoe.

As far as I'm concerned those "other" Batman films ceased to exist after Begins debuted.

Keaton was best IMO.

Bale was close, but Keaton just seemed more natural in the role. But, then again, after seeing Mechanic with Bale in it, I feel his performance was commendable. Bale could prove to be a great actor, and I wouldn't mind seeing how he would do in a sequel.

Kilmer would come in third or equal to Bale.

Clooney just plain sucked and was out of his character (which takes real acting ability to overcome).

Michael Keaton is the best Batman...Both as Batman, and as Bruce Wayne...

My favorite Batman was when he was played by Chuck Norris and he kicked the Joker's head right off and then used it like a bowling ball to take out the Penguin and the Riddler.

Adam West! Batman, Batman, Batman

Adam West is #1 by far.

Number 2 would be Val Kilmer. I think he would have impressed more people in the role if he'd has as much opportunity to play it as did Keaton.

It also depends on which Batman incarnation you like, I think. I prefer mid to late 1960s/early 1970s Batman from the comics when I was kid. That may be why I like Adam West.

I agree, without adam west, keaton has nothing. But keaton made batman the badass movie character he is known by. then clooney gayed it up. keaton all the way.

Keaton in the first one, followed VERY closely by Bale in "Begins".

Tough call, until "Begins" I had only seen Bale in "Reigh of Fire" and that movie sucked so bad I was rooting for the Dragons to win, but he was very good in "Begins".

What do you guys think about Heath Ledger playing the Joker in the next one?

:grumpy: God awful choice. I would have picked Willem Dafoe or Steve Buschemi.

Bale was awesome in a movie called the machinist. He did it right before Batman Begins and lost a huge amount of weight for it.

I think you've been spending way too much time in the Political Forums.

CN would never wear tights or a mask. That's a little too foofoo for him.

Wasn't there a Robin in "The Bird Cage"? AHAHAHAHAHHA

I dislike all the batman actors but dislike Keaton the least. At least he had a bit of craziness in his roles.

I liked Keaton as Batman and Bruce Wayne. I hated the batman begins movie because it was not true to the comic book(I know shitty reason right) it lost me as soon as someone killed who should have been the joker. The twist was a nice try but i didnt like it. I liked Bale as a batman I thought he had the hate and anger that batman should have but he wasnt as calm and smooth as Bruce Wayne needed to be.

We can speculate and pontificate on this question all we want. However, our conjecture is meaningless. You all appear to be forgetting that Bruce Wayne has been a BladeForums member for more than 3 years. I am sure he will soon be responding.
