Who likes brass & copper?

I like the way copper reacts more let's say unpredictably than brass does.

I prefer copper to brass, but I have more brass on account of my Buck 110s and 112s. Here's my favorite of these metals, a copper Mercator.

My only copper is in a can of Wheat pennies, but brass now that's one of the best materials ever.

The only brass item I own is a flashlight, but it is a fantastic light. I'd own more things in bronze if it was more widely available. Stronger than copper but still has that nice reddish hue.

It’s funny how some like or hate one or the other. I like both and often can’t decide between them. They patina very differently. Here are some others. I especially enjoy the Crooked River & Techno 2.

Just the color of it, I grew the same way about gold. I remember as a kid watching the Olympics thinking if ever, I’d try for second place because I’d much rather silver than gold.

I agree with you. I don’t like yellow gold color and don’t like shiny brass/copper. It’s after they get the dull patina they I like these materials. The scales shown in the initial post are new.
