Who likes knives? What knife? Why?

I'm always looking to expand my collection but my sources of educated friends are dwindling and they all have very specific tastes so I already know their opinions. I'm looking for some input on what to buy next, I already have my next five or so high end ($500+) purchases decided but I'm looking for some stuff to occupy my disposable income in the meantime, so please tell me your best recommendations on anything under lets say $200, work knife, bush knife, pocket knife, display piece whatever. Hoping to get some good feedback.

it might help to tell us what you already have. i'm guessing you'd like to try out all segments and there are a lot. for traditional slip joints, get whatever GEC un-x-ld model that catches your fancy. for a small folding lock knife for edc, you have gateway brand knives like the spyderco delica or the benchmade gryptillian, going to their mid-priced models like the gayle bradley 2 or the contego. for fixed blades, i'm not so much into them but i kinda eye those by bark river, or busse/swamp rat.

by the way, yes i do like knives. why? my parish church is named after St. bartholomew.

true I shall provide pictures at some point soon but my present collection is well over 100 pieces and I'm on here at work and just don't have the time to list them all, keep an eye out for the full collection, until that point I'd just like to hear peoples opinions, I don't want to stifle anyone by saying I have this already I don't need it, thank you for your input.
