I always thought it was the ugliest knife in the world then for some reason I started really wanting one. I'm so doggone happy I did get one. I decided on the pink one. So anyone love the lum? Enough talking here's my baby.

Takes a very confident man to carry a pink knife with a cute rainbow accessory

I have always wanted to check out a Lum Tanto but never seen either of them in person.

I was about to post the same thing but just to double check, I looked at her profile and she is a girl.

to OP: excellent knife you got there, what steel do they put on that thing?

I always rather liked it. I just happen to like others a wee bit more. Something something pink rainbow ponies and butterflies.

Nice knife :)

Yes I am a girl last time I checked. It has VG-10. It does look pretty girly huh. It flips open like a dream. I can't believe how nice is actually is. I'm very impressed with it.

i love mine too. i want to get one of the titanium ones, but i can't justify that kind of cash on a knife i wouldn't want to even carry

I've always dug the rounded blade profile and the largness of the blade but for some unknown reason I've put off purchasing one but that could change I suppose.

I have got three I guess. One with ZDP, one regular with vg 10 and another with Ti handle. Now considering buying the latest two - with carbon fiber and the big one. Not sure when I come around to doing it - probably soon. Probably after I get Mini Onslaught. Have to have it first.

I've got one in zdp, its my EDC. Love is a good word for how I feel about it. Once I figured out how to sharpen it, it just rocks. The ZDP doesn't look a day old, but the handle and clip are all pocket worn, its been two years going strong hard use.

I bought a knife here and was sent a Lum by mistake. What a nice knife. Couldn't put it down...until I had to ship it to the real owner. Wish it coulda stayed with me for a while. It felt good in the hand and the blade design kinda looked like a Nessmuk and that was a good thing right there. Will look into buying one soon.

The Spyderco Lum is the only spyderco that I can stand to look at, cuz the rest are so ugly. But I'd much rather have one of the originals, on which Lum based his design, the Shilin cutter shown above. This is a traditional Chinese design and this one was made in Taiwan. Also, The CAS Hanwei subsidiary, Rock Creek, makes several knives with similar leaf-shaped blades, including the Saguaro and the Kobuk, which are in the $60-$80 range. They are beautiful.

The Spyderco Lum is also notable because it's a case of westerners ripping off a Chinese design.
