i like mine, would be surprised is someone could break one, wanted to buy an esee 5 till i got this thing..no need for the esee now though..
 
The SHBA is my favorite Busse. Wished it had a version with the same handle but a longer blade and a finger choil. I had bought a 3B2 and had the SHBA & 3B2 side by side one day and then it hit me! A few sharpie marks to the 3B2 and off to a Busse forum member it went for a little work. He has a SHBA and must have envisioned what I did because he nailed it with the mod.

The 3B2 in it's original form are kind of funny looking, if you can picture the blade you see there as a skinny ash then you can see how the handle doesn't go too well with the narrower blade. That mod was a perfect improvement to that user 3B2 and one I have been tempted to do to one of my skinnies. I am also tempted to choil mod my SOB and take a little swell out of the handle belly.
 
You should let me have one of those snakeskin Badgers Jaxx. It would be only fair. :D

If you love the SOB but want one minus the sowbelly, try a finger grooved model...of course, you'll still have to add a choil, but the FG SOB fits like a glove in every grip-- except maybe icepick, edge facing inward.
