Who made the Walking Dead Governors bowie?

Wow, You had me lol'ing there. :p

Me too man! Everybody pull up your waders!

Just kiddin Rev! In all seriousness - well deserved.

And I still think that damn knife had to be made by Gerber! 99% of all the other crap on there is!

Chances are, its is an Aluminum Blade on a Kukri handle, and some kind of custom guard probably also aluminum, and electro plated or something like that.
Looks better on the "Entertainment" cover but if they added in a zombie reflection, they could also add an actual edge to it, "post photo".

Come to think of it, most likely it is just a Handle and a Hilt, with a piece of green plastic for a blade, so they can "Super Impose" anything they want there, better for action shots, and what not, they probably have other "Props" like it, to do different functions.

It's a real knife from the looks of the grind. It looks like a live edge on it. That means they likely have more than one. I'd guess someone will eventually come out with the answer. It just takes time in some cases.

Rev, Didn't recognize you at first either. Congrats. The last forum I worked had cool commands like "kill _____". Ban was a bit more involved though. This place needed another Super mod IMO. Especially with so many people cycling through this forum . The numbers of guests and members can be pretty amazing .

They never show the horse that has to carry that bridge girder into battle.

If that's real it's something that was found in some guy's cellar who also had a lot of mounted game fish.

IMO, something about the pics in Post #1 make the knife look superimposed. The right hand looks too big and the hold on it just doesn't look natural. Also seems to be a demarcation from knife to rest of photo. It's close....

Back on topic, in the actual show he carried what looked like a Buck 119. The knife pictured in this thread was not in the show from my recollection. I agree that the one pictured looks real.

And don't forget - 3rd level Jedi mystic mind control.... We gotta watch that guy now....

Hahahahaha!!!!!!!

This is a true story, folks. There was a knife in the Exchange last week I was about to snap up, that Rev also wanted. He sent me a PM that said "This isn't the knife you're looking for" and then I just got up and wandered away from the computer. By the time I came to my senses and rushed back, he'd already bought the knife. True story!

And that was BEFORE Super Mod status! Imagine his powers now....

So, tripletap - spill the beans man! Don't just leave it at that! What is it?

In the show he carried a Ka-Bar Next Generation F/U. One of the few non-Gerbers used by a character.

No idea what that Bowie type knife is.

Antdog, Well I have decided that I cannot decide or make myself part with anything in my collection, so I will be buying something new tomorrow for my GAW.

Wherever there are forum rule breakers. Whenever an infraction needs to be handed down with swift (although fair) justice. Whenever a forumite attempts to accost a brother (rare because we're so awesome here.) Whenever there are members in need of help. Members in need of guidance. Members that need to be saved from their own stupidity. That's where you'll find him. That's where you'll find the Super Mod.

Three Amigos?

But would you say that I have a plethora of piñatas Jefe? Do you even know what a plethora is?

Still waiting to hear what website has these for sale..... What are they? I don't want one. Just curious.

Started working on my own bowie inspired by the littke info I can find on this one. Hand forged 5160, 14.5" blade, through tang threaded 3/8 - 16 with a nut welded to the pommel. Oak handle, mild steel guard. It has to come apart for final attachment of the guard and handle, then finish sanding the handle and a tong oil finish. Hand sand the blade bebeks and leave the rest forge finished. Then sharpen and enjoy.
