In addition, please throw some reputable names for custom fighter blades!

THANKS A BUNCH!

Hey thank you, after matching the pictures I believe its his knife. Its a shame that his out of business very nice looking blade design tho. Again, thank you

Peter Jensen? Looks like his style. He's out of business

Looking "mean" does not make a knife a better "fighter". Just my $0.02 worth. Those Laci Szabo-style blades look ridiculous to me. Bo Randall and Bob Loveless knew a thing or two about fighting knives. ;)

As to me.

Apparently though he has had extensive training as a police officer, somewhere in the army, multiple military contracts and training under some pretty big name fighting knife figures.

Hey I totally agree with you on this one  Its just that the blade in the above picture has two of my favor blades features in 1 (Recurve + Claw) In addition, it looks really cool. I wouldn't mind have 1 in my collection :D As to Laci Szabo blades they do look ridiculous  If any1 knows a good (quality) custom fighter blade maker please let me know. Thanks a bunch! :D

I know Dan personally. If I was ever going to be in a knife fight (lol, never gunna happen.) I'd pick up one of these. They may lok kinda 'fancy" and not "tacticool."

However they are balanced PERFECTLY. Can't say it enough.

You can do some wicked thrusts/slashes with that blade. It feels as light as a feather. Great fighting knife.

I hate to be the wet blanket here, but I hate that knife. To me, it looks awful. As far as good fighting knives, everybody's got their own idea of what works for them. A lot of things enter into that decision. My personal preference, out of the knives I own, is my Busse Satin Jack Tac. I also am fairly partial to Al Polkowski (http://www.polkowskiknives.com/docs/fighters.htm), but I don't have any of his knives. Yet. I've got my eye on the Alhambra.

But my Satin Jack Tac is not a dedicated fighter. It is a fighter, but it is large and heavy enough to use for other tasks, like chopping and batonning, cutting heavy rope, hoses, belts, whatever. I am much more likely to need it to cut something along these lines than I am to need it to fight, so I carry appropriately. If I really need a weapon, I'll probably draw my pistol first. But I might draw the knife, depending on the circumstances.

May I ask what drew you to that conclusion?

Just curious.

Purely subjective. I don't like that blade shape. It would be a horror of a nightmare for me to try and sharpen that blade properly. Plus, it looks really blade-heavy. As far as what works as a fighting knife... Some guys like folders, some guys like fixed blades (like me). Some like short blades, some long, some double-edged, some guys like Bowie knives. There's a myriad of knives out there that will work as fighters. The one in the OP will probably work well for somebody. Just not me.

What you guys think about the Busse Sus Scrofa as a fighting blade? I also found a germany knife maker I will post his site later. 1 particular type of his blade is super cool. The other thing is I have checked into AmericanKami's blade their wicked cool. And chisel grind does an asymmetric cut (wound) which will make it harder to heal! The only down side of his blades is long wait time and costly to buy a 1095 steel blade at those price levels.

The SS wouldn't be my first choice as a fighting blade.

I wouldn't mind a sarsquatch with a sharpened swedge though, or a jackhammer.
