Who made this knife???

How about modify it to have swedge on the tope of the blade? Making it capable to do s thrust attack?

The SS wouldn't be my first choice as a fighting blade.

I wouldn't mind a sarsquatch with a sharpened swedge though, or a jackhammer.

I think because it's "curved" downwards you get alot of resistance going through something.

Even if you made it pointy, it's still too small IMO to be a good fighting blade. I'd like some reach in a fighter, so I'm talking 6 inches minimum. That said, I don't have any plans on ever being in a west side story knife fight, and I would draw a gun first and foremost. Only in extremely close contact ranges would I ever reach for a knife, and that's only to put distance between me and the other guy while I draw my gun.

Here is the link for that German knife maker --> http://www.blade-systems.de/html/beispiele_raptor_k.html I also agree with you 230grains, Gun > Knife in most self-defense situations. But I have a special interest in fighter blades and I'm just trying to figure out the best possible blade shape for a fighting knife. In addition, here in CA most of us don't have a conceal carry permit so knife is our only choice.

You guys are posting some real medieval looking blades here. They seem fairly low on utility, but high on wickedness!

You know you can't conceal ANY fixed blade knife in California, right? So, if you're planning on strapping a fighting knife to your hip, you're in the clear. Under any clothing = nono

That said, I was under the impression that a good STABBING knife makes a good fighting knife, while people are posting some knives with near worthless stabbing value, and all slashing power. Obviously, I have no experience in this regards, It's just what I've picked up from various sources over the years. Fighters want to stab, and stab quickly, to end the fight.

Yes I have read the CA knife laws and I'm 100% obedient to it. I only carry folders for utility works (SD = maybe). You bring up a good point, a fighter = a good stabber, that makes alot of sense. Thanks.:D

PS --- Thank you (Patsknives) for pointing the knife maker.
