that is made with a carbon steel blade, preferably 1095.

Piggybacking off of this thread:
"How come modern folders don't come in carbon steel?"

I've been EDC'n by GEC 72 with a carbon steel wharny blade for some time now and I've found it to be my perfect EDC, I'm looking for something similar by a different maker.
Anybody know who is making that combo, a carbon steel wharncliff folder?

Case Swayback Jack in (I think) amber bone. It has a CV (carbon vanadium...looks really pretty once the patina begins to form), wharnnie main blade and pen secondary, and the scales are red-orange. It's quite a handsome Case-Tony Bose collaboration.

michael morris knives makes a friction folder which you can have a wahrncliffe balde its steel is a nicholson file which on his site says it is either w1 or w2 steel which is high carbon steel. and his prices are very affordable, ive been looking at them myself.

I'll have to take a look at morris, I have a couple of his blades and they are excellent, I forgot to mention, looking for a single blade folder

Thanks for the 'heads-up' on Morris Knives, Sasquatch, I'll be shopping there soon.

A.G. Russell has a folder with a warnie made for his line of knives. It has received good comments.

The Scagel Fruitport is available with a wharncliffe blade. It's made by GEC using their 1095. Technically that's the same maker, but the design is a little different than the #72.

I'm a big Wharncliffe fan, and the only production version of this blade profile I've found that can rival GEC for quality is the Case/Bose Norfolk, but it's ATS-34. The majority of custom Wharnies are also going to be stainless.

How about GEC's #62 two or three-blade patterns in 1095?

And it looks like the winner is.................. The Scagel Fruitport.
A Single blade wharny using 1095, although the stag makes it a little pricey its pretty much what I had in mind, a lockback would have been nice.
Rick- I am partial to the GEC's but the #62 looks a bit short on the blade side for me.

Thanks for all the recommendations everyone!
