The only stamp on it is "Belgium" It holds a really good edge, and I've cut down some thick saplings with it. I've used it a lot and only managed to put 2 chips in it:o A picture won't do any good as I have the handle wrapped, and the blade is painted Camo.

No clue, I'm afraid. Joezilla might know. He's not on here much these days (super busy guy!) but you might send him an email or pm about it.

Perhaps Martin Manufacturing? Does it look like this?

Whoooo! I crack me up.

Sorry. I got nothin'.

"Belgians." <snort>

Looks like it may possibly be made by Sheffield. Rivets look VERY similar to thier other products. If not, then i am going with Belgians as well.

The picture that the OP posted isn't of his actual machete, but rather of a generic Wal*Mart-style machete. The one I posted is by Martin Manufacturing of Belgium. So we actually haven't seen what the rivets on the OP's look like. :)

Am I seeing that correctly, there is no edge on the last 5-6" near the handle? I guess that makes some sense, even though I like having as much edge as possible. How thick is that machete? It looks stout, very similar to the Ontarios, and others.

Correct, there is no edge 5" up from the handle. It's a tad over 2mm thick.

Holy wow... Came across this when searching Google for something else. Can't believe some one bumped this after 3 years. Haven't been on here in ages.. Long story short and I'm sure people will get made for me bumping this but 6 months after posting this I moved and "misplaced/lost" the pictured machete.
