Who makes a small integral knife ?

thanks I will take a look. they make some nice stuff with great steel and great fit and finish. almost mid-tech some of their stuff and nicer than some mid-techs and they aren't crazy pricing their product.

Had a benchmade Anthem in my hands at a knife store, pricy but very high quality small intergral folder.

wow ,what a presentation on that knife. that thing is beautiful. i wonder about hot spots because of whats going on with that frame lock

anthem is too big. 3.5 blade and I didn't like the color or price. those Lionsteels are much more works of art. all their integrals are works of art. pretty

Man, sucks that you are looking for under 3” as the rike 1508s is an awesome integral. I assume you need under 3” for legal reasons. Hmmm, those are tough parameters. I’m a huge integral fan and have spent a lot of time searching for any kind of integral knife that exists. They are becoming more popular but I don’t think any exist that are exactly at 3”. The rike thor 4 (2.3”) and rike 1508s (3.25”) would be the closest. All other integrals (spyderco, liong mah, lion steel, ckf, rike, we) all have significantly larger blades.

Never mind.

Thought it was a thread about a fixed knife.

I never quite got the calling a folding knife 'integral,' nor who fielded that one/where it originated.

Seems an oxymoron.
Hi.
I believe it was Chris Reeve who created what we call the frame lock (based on the Walker liner lock), but he called it the 'integral lock', as the lockbar is the handle scale itself.

....but then I balk at calling a knife a titanium knife, when they have a steel blade.

Part of the package deal of having actual titanium knives, I guess.

An “integral folder” in modern parlence is one where the handle rather than being two pieces of titanium held together by backspacer or standoffs; is one solid piece of Ti with a slot cut into it for the blade to go into.

So there is no way to disassemble the knife other than taking the pivot out and pulling the blade out.

Still doesnt make any sense in regards to the actual integral knife linked to above.

Always wanted to try a Mission knives folder. Everything on this knife is Ti. They don’t make them anymore sadly.

Unfortunately these versions with tip up clip were only produced at the end for a very short time. Most have a lousy clip that is screwed in at the pivot. Meaning you either got a rattling clip or an overly tight action. Your choice.

The handle is what is integral. As in it is all one piece. People need to specify when they say integral knife if they mean integral fixed or integral folder.

You already mentioned something to that effect.

Read your own statement - 'one piece.'

Then see the knife linked to - one piece. No moving bits, no nothing.

The Expedition knife is an integral knife.

But then lets not keep on argueing sementic in a thread about folders.

As for the MISSION Ti folder; yes, I had the chance of buying that all ti folder. I just didnt like the design of it.

I have three or four of the MISSION titanium fixed blade knives though.

They are dang nice. I like 'em.

Back to small folders - integral or not.

Looking for a knife not a bunch of off topic jargon that has nothing to do with an integral folder with a blade of 3 inches or less. Thanks

Yes, as already stated in the post directly above ypur post:rolleyes:

The 'lets not argue semantics' and the "back to folders' part.

Imagine, if you had put the correct term in the thread title though.

The word, you are looking for is 'folder.'
