Will & other folks at Camillus,
Just received the new "IMPROVED" sheath last night at 6:30PM - it may have taken a while to get here but it is far better - much improved - the Talon locks in the new one solidly - great job!! Thanks for being so responsive to your customers - good way to keep your customers for a long time! Horizontal carry will be no problem now - might think twice about upside-down since not a lot of the handle is being gripped but for horizontal belt carry it will work great. Will be sending old sheath back soon as get chance to go to Post Office.

Heh, seems like I'm always just one step behind you Penguin...

I too just got my new sheath - came in this afternoon. I would like to say that I am extremely pleased with the customer service, and that THE NEW SHEATH FITS PERFECTLY.... I turned the thing upside down with the knife in it, and I couldn't shake it out no matter how I tried...Drawing the knife is still very smooth - as if the knife just knows it's ok to leave the comfort of the sheath.

Customer service like this is what earns trust, respect, and long term success...

Does the new sheath appear different in any way, such as different or additional rivets, etc? Or is it the same, with a tighter mold.

It's the same sheath, just molded to fit correctly...and the tiny bit of size difference makes a world of difference in the retention department...With the old sheath, I would turn the sheath upside down and the knife could fall out with a slight jostle sometimes - which would rule out horizontal or upside down carry.. With the new sheath, I can turn it upside down and shake the hell out of it, and it just stays put...
