Who makes good leather pouches for slipjoints?

Well, I don't know about no lipstick, ;)
but this one holds a nice trapper pretty well :)

thanks G2 , my work is passable , your work is off the chart... and even though I have sold the knife , I still have the first sheath you made me , it remains on my leather bench , someday , I hope to achieve that level of perfection.

Thanks John, the OP was looking for more of a slip sheath and
those Ronal Ryder's that Blues pointed out would more than do
the trick for what he needs, Ronal Ryder, R2, yeah, like that ;)

Exactly. Thanks, Gary...

...And the G2 leather can be saved for other knives like this Reese Bose sowbelly I'm fortunate enough to call mine:

Find a local leather seamstress and just have them sew up some slip pouches for you. Very cheap and works very well. I will try to post some that a local seamstress made for me.

Nice Blues! I all but forgot that gem you have there!
And 1200S, good idea, I was even thinking some old
leather gloves might even work, cutting off the fingers
depending on the knife size...

Gary,

I don't know if I enjoy your photography skilz of sheath making skilz more.

Blues, thanks for the recommendation on Ron Ryder for a Buckaroo. I sent him a check on the 20th and the Buckaroo showed up today. Fits both my large Carl Schlieper Stockman and my Ontario Cattleman (the one with D2 blade and sheep horn slabs). Ron, thanks for the nice job and quick turn around. John

My pleasure, John.

I finally came over to see this thread,

Like the Graley sheath, I make on occasion as well. but the slips most have mentioned, thats comparing apples to oranges.

My slips are "made to a price", kind of a niche product, while the Graley belt pouch shown, I am not certain what could be improved, no matter the maker, or price.

I would love to find a source for those clips that WH uses.

again, a great thank you for the compliments of my slips/pouches.

Don Cowles uses the WH clip. It might be something he can help you with.

My favorite leather slipjoint pocket cases are Dens of England. Thin, high-quality leather, velcro closing flap, synthetic lining so you dont have to worry about long term use and moisture. After a short time, they mold to the knife shape. Feels like you're only carrying the knife itself. Only source I know of is Simon Lytton. He normally has a good stock of them at the Blade show in Atlanta every year. Paul Long also makes one out of thin leather too.

Since I'm making sheaths now, I should really try my hand at a slipjoint pouch too.

No problem I have just ordered some of his high rise knife sheaths for my 110 and Case Trapper so I'll tell you how I like them.
