Who makes similar to a SRK, but smaller?

Yeah wow, is right.

Wonder what the other side looks like?

Please keep us up to date on it.

I just got a cs pendleton hunter. I have the srk and the 6" blade is alittle big for me. The P. hunter has a 3 1/2 inch blade and a 4 3/4 handle. I like the larger handles that feel more secure in my hands.

as for the benchmade its a shame they started using the cheaper steel for some of their knives. I almost got that same knife until I asked why it was so cheap. The man at the knife shop informed me that they had ran a line of knifes with cheaper steel. Glad he was honest.

Well this hasn't been solved yet (owner is contacting seller), it may be just a lemon but check it out

ACK!! Well, doesn't THAT just suck...

I cant say I'm surprised, though. I've got that same model, and while I love the light weight and comfortable grip, the blade is hollow ground to a paper-thin edge!! Makes for an awesome slicer, but not very rugged.

If you're looking for something beefy like an SRK, the Rant is not what you want.

The blade on the Fears Survival Knife (FSK) reminds me a little of the SRK.
I agree. I did a passaround with the orange FSK, and it's an excellent knife, and IMHO fits the OP's request to a tee.
