Who makes the best bang for the buck karambit?

It's not a folding Kerambit, but how about the Hibben Claw II? Knifecenter and other places carry it. There is all steel version and one with a micarta handle. In the neighborhood of $20, give or take a couple bucks......

Just gonna throw this out there.
I know its pricey, and bang for the buck is maybe not it (depending on your intended use) but after owning several different karambits, for me, personally, the Emerson has a perfect feel and weight in my hand.
If for self defense, very sturdy, secure and authoritative feel to it.
The wave feature is a plus as well.
Yeah, understand and study how to use it, but a basic understanding of knife skills and boxing and you have a serious arsenal.
The design also makes it one of the most secure locked in hand tools. This is one knife that will not get knocked out of your hand.
Just my 2 cents:

Emerson themselves explains it better than me

There are plenty of cool designs out there, and while this one is plenty cool, it also appears to be the best of the bunch in terms of practicality and high quality.

Thanks.

Very good looking, and good for a collection, however it may be difficult to carry. There are a few comments from those who've bought this knife speaking to that.

Looks wicked, in any case.

It is quite nice.:)
The CK&T (Cutter's Knife and Tool) Bengal is even nicer, and it's a framelock, but it'll run you about $330.
If you want the nicest Karambit out there though, it's about the top of the heap.
The Emerson still gets alot of pocket time though, and is VERY nice now that I sanded the G-10 to be flush with the liners, and sanded the finger hole to be a tad larger and more smooth. The way it came from the factory was irritating the hell out of my skin in the area between the index and middle finger.

I own both the boker and the mantis kerambit, and I think that the boker is a bit better. They both hold an edge reasonably well and the lockup is also good. The boker, although the uglier of the two really fits in the hand well, and is for somebody with larger hands.

Those two aren't half bad, considering that you can do a lot worse for about the same price.

Thanks for the info.

Have you by any chance seen the Fox Karambit? How would it compare to the Emerson?

Thanks Johnny; most appreciated.

Anytime.
Glad I could help.
Karambits are interesting knives, it's a good addition, especially if you know how to use one.
