I'd hold off on the Barkie, aside from being full tang, the new barkie will also drop the swedge (or so the word in the ether was).
......I have 6 more customs coming in the next few weeks...........That pic you posted is deer in the headlights stunning!
That's what I gathered from Mike's comments a while back but I am not certain that enough of us expressed enough excitement about that feature so I don't know if the decision "stuck." He seemed to be feeling us out when he mentioned it. I personally would love "no swedge" and he has offered to add it for any who did want it.
Tony, there's got to be SOMETHING that 3-y-o could do to scare up a few bucks...., there are still a couple NIBs at some of the non-stocking dealers for a scant, scant fuzz over a "c-note" if anyone likes the old one - which I do, and I am only replacing it because of a small handle gripe and Mike offered to replace it with the new one if I could just hold out. To his credit, he has patiently listened to me grumble for months while waiting and the "months" are still within the range of a "quick" turn on a bonafide custom.
Again, a bit "refined-looking" but still a viable Kephart. As much as I love the more rustic versions, I cannot pull myself away from this one.
That little ML "Short Kephart" also has a shorter lead time than the full-sized one and, what I love so much about that one is that, I can have a "Keppie" with me even when it is not "comfortable" having a 4" or 5" blade on me.
I saw that one dude, VERY nice score, I liked it alot!!!! Im actually waiting on an email from him too to make me one. Fantastic finish on that one.
Ill show off the gossman it will be a bit though
Worth the wait IMO:thumbup:
