Who Makes The Best Multi Tool

I have both SOG S61 EOD & Leatherman Charge, I think S61 is better, stronger, easy to open, well finished. If you want a stronger plier function in a Multi-tool, choose SOG, if you want stronger knife function in a Multi-tool, choose Charge.

It doesn't really matter what you pick up as long as it's not made in China;) Vic, SOG, Leatherman, they're all good tools that won't let you down. Myself, I'm a leatherman guy. They have the features I want. I like the wave, Supertool, and Surge a lot. The surge is on my belt pretty much everyday, but if I'm packing light then a leatherman Fuse gets stuck in my back pocket by my checkbook. Personally, I like to double up. I carry a leatherman tool on my belt and a Vic climber, explorer plus, or soldier in my pocket. There isn't much that I can't do with that set up.

i owned the orignal wave, vic swisstool x, vic swistool spirit with ratchet & bits.

i dislike the wave because it wobbles a lot and the steel is kinda soft and i never subjected the wave to heavy use accept using the philips on screws. vic swisstool x is indeed a heavy duty tool and swisstool spirit is smaller, lighter than swisstool x and thinner than wave but the quality is top notch too. therefore, my choice is the spirit.

I would really like to know which MULTI-TOOL is the best. i found at work its really handy to have one on me, But i feel that my current made in China multi tool really isnt going to last (It was a gift).

So now its time to up grade, and it would be great to have something that can do it all.

I've looked into te leatherman line and they look great, but is there anything better.

Leatherman Charge !!!

I like the Leatherman products.I wanted one that was a bit smaller so it didn't weigh down my belt so I got the Pulse. It's close in size/weight to the original and its' tools lock up.

Another vote for the SwissTool. The X Plus version in particular, replaced an original SwissTool Plus as my EDC. Combined with a smaller SAK, the functionality offered is tough to beat.

I also have a Charge Ti, but leave it at home since I find that the screwdrivers are a bit on the short side for my purposes. While the 154CM blade is great as it retains an edge longer, I keep my SAK and STX regularly sharpened so this is not really a problem.
