Who makes the best slip joint?

Nobody mentions J.B. Moore. I think he makes a beautiful and well-made slipjoint folder. A lot less expensive than T. Bose, and just as nice, IMO.

I am surprised nobody mentioned the old schrades and old uncle henrys. I liked em. The carbon steel sharpened well and I have used them a lot.
I got a bunch of schrades, not used, sitting in my drawer, waiting for the value to go up.
Good knife hunting

There are some stunning slip joint knives on this site.

Don Hanson has been making a few slim trappers of late. I have one on my wish list. He is using forged W2 for some of them. That would be my choice. The attached picture has a W2 blade.

never sprung for a custom slip, but i think the quality on Schatt & Morgans rivals most 'high tech' knife companies.

I haven't sampled a lot of slip joints... haven't needed to. Been carrying the same Schrade stockman since the mid '60's. The little rascal has been my EDC the whole time. Made it through highschool, college, the Army and several different jobs over the years. It's not too pretty but it took a lickin' and is still clickin'! :D
