My father in law is giving me a KMG clone that he doesn't use anymore, so I'm going to sell the 2x72 grinder I've been building. It's about 80% finished.

It still needs a platen, platform, and a little beefing up in the frame for extra stability. It has a brand new Marathon 1.5 HP motor. The wheels are 4, or 5" - I can't remember off the top of my head. I'll supply you with enough steel to finish the project, and then some. I'm quite proud of the tracking mechanism I designed for it. It's very stable and easy to adjust while it's running. I installed a handle on the top for changing belts, which isn't in the photo. Also, I installed a motor tensioning rod, which isn't in the photo. The strapping was used to pull the motor tight to test it out.

I live in Marysville. I am willing to drive 30 minutes to meet you, or you can come to my place to pick it up.

I've got about $300 into it so far. I'd like to get $200.

E-mail me if you're interested. Include your phone number so we can chat about the particulars.

Take care,
Brook Alongi

Daggum Brook, that'd make a great slack belt grinder!!! You should hang onto it and use it for shaping handles and such! Just my opinion and a very educated one at that! :D

Larry I'm sure we can get something figured out :) getting ready to head to that side of the state to visit my little brother and pick up the grinder. Gotta love vacation time, even if your main plans fall through things have a way of working out in other ways.
