Who of us was testing anti-rust oils?

The search thing is not working tonight for me, so i have to just go ahead and ask my question.

About a year ago a guy on our forum was planning to coat some sections of steel with different oils and allow them to sit outside.

I was thinking that now would be a good time to check on how that test is going?....

They all rusted away to nothing, except AUS-6

I only ask because Im starting to clean my shop and I ran into an old motor part I got from my dad about 7 years ago, and although I just sprayed it with kitchen PAM, it yet seems to have not rusted much at all....
