Who ordered Battle Saws?

If that will fit a 1111 (very similar dimension) I'm in,,, let me know if you think you could swing it.
Thanks!

OVERALL LENGTH: 16.5"
GRIND: Corrugated Bevel Technology

That rattler Tglb has always been one of my favorite inlaid sheaths I have done. :)

Looks like we have the ten. I will set the page up on the site for anyone who wants to preorder while I wait for Firestrike's Battle Saw to arrive. When it does I will update this thread with a 'get your order in by date' so we can get started on them and get our loaner BS on to its destination.

I missed out on this one so I will pick one up on the exchange once they start shipping to have on hand for future orders.

You did a 110% fantastic job Skyler, I have never been happier with leather than this creation you worked up for me. Thank You so much for being an excellent American craftsman, with some serious skills.

I like that rattler as well, do you have a HG-55 for a pattern or would I have to send mine in?

Sorry but I am not doing any inlays right now unless you do not mind a 10-14 week wait and it would need to be sent in. With the holiday season in full swing, I simply do not have the additional time required to do inlay work.

In pending final design. I'd love to see how a fire steel would attach and also if there would be a way to piggy back a rodent solution. I'm not familiar with leather sheath designs and terms so the baldric vs what is normal will have to be explained to me by pics( yep I'm that annoying guy)

I recommend anyone on the fence to visit Patriotleather.com and check out Skyler's designs. This is a great oppritunity for people to give Patriot Leather a shot, I can assure you from personal expierence that he will not disappoint.

You will be hard pressed to find better build quality, and the rapid release system is a must have if you actually use your knife a lot.

Thanks for pointing me here Firestrike,

Good Morning Gents,

The Battle Saw looks very similar to the ASHBM so I imagine the patterns we have will work for it with only slight mods needed. Honestly, the saw teeth issue is not an issue. I've built more than a few sheaths for them and they are still going strong, Saw backs have been around for quite some time. You have to intentionally work at it to cut through the welt on a properly built sheath. The Mistress sheaths we build use a double welt and 10 ounce leather, if you manage to cut through it, you send it to me and I will build you a better one, plain and simple.

I generally only do open spine sheaths on Kukri's or odd shaped knives. With the teeth forward facing on this one, you will not like accidentally dragging your hand or wrist on it.

I'm fine with a Group Buy for you guys, I would go with our Gaspee belt design that I build for the TGLB, obviously it will be a bit bigger for the BS. Removable Drop Loop and a built in tie down are standard on this large of a sheath as is the Rapid Release System. I normally charge 92.50 for this design in that size. If you guys want to get a minimum of ten sheaths I will drop them down to 80 shipped and can have them done in 5-7 days after I get a BS in to work with, excepting sheaths that have add ons added, pouches, firesteels, Baldric etc. If we keep it simple it goes fast, but you are welcome to add on whatever you need. I would rather build you the sheath you want rather than the one that is quickest.

I can build them in 5 different colors, with 9 stitching colors available. They do not all need to be the same, You are welcome to any configuration you want to order. It all cuts and stitches together the same to me and I won't get bored hand stitching 250 feet of thread :D

If we get 10 or more 'I'm In', I will set up a Group order sheet on the website where you can pick your color and draw options. Everyone would then have 5-7 days to get their order in so I can get the batch cut, done, and shipped together, I imagine Firestrike would like to have his Battle Saw without waiting longer than necessary for stragglers to order. :D

I am glad to see lots of interest in this, it makes sending my Battle Saw in seem like it will be less painful knowing that a bunch of us will end up with some nice leather pants. I just hope the with the blanks already cut at Busse that these will ship out soon.

I appreciate you lining all this up and going with out your BS for a while for it to happen!

Also, does anyone have a busse with tan canvas scales next to different colors of patriot leather? I'm thinking light brown with dark green thread will go well
