I'd love to do a group build some weekend with like-minded people.
The composite brain power and experience in a group could put a bunch of them together at once. And possibly save money buying quantities of materials.
Everyone would go home with a mill.
Of course you know, just do one first.
I've researched them quite a bit and some comments are that it's built too low for a tall man.
The gearbox and variable speed motor is the way to go compared to all the chains and sprockets, but puts build price way up.
The v belt and pulley provide a slip clutch safety against entrapment that you wouldn't get with just roller chain, or gears.
Is that gearbox a 100:1 ?
What rpm does he find he runs it at ?
