Who saw Act of valor?

Saw it this morning. I liked it a lot. The movie had its flaws, but it was still many times better than the usual war movies Hollywood's been fobbing off on us lately. Thankfully I didn't have to endure two hours of Matt Damon or some other elitist douche trying to act like tough guys, and was instead treated to real life badasses being their badass selves and getting the job done. SO :thumbup: from me. I hope they make more.

I just saw it tonight as well. I thought it was really good and my wife even liked it too.

Didn't see any Beckers, only a big folder attached to one guys LBE.

I think you are right but, i plan to see it friday and reallly want to know how good it is........and what you guys think....

I agree that nobody is going to be winning awards for the dialogue, nor would I expect that considering the actors (not that the acting was that bad either). After all these guys train to kick doors and kick a**, not wax poetic.

However, the action/ combat scenes were impressive without being over-the-top.

The clip screw looked like an older spyderco h1 but i'm not sure on that one.

I LOVED it.

I'm pretty sure that guy had a Spyderco Native clipped to his vest. That's what it looked like to me.

Cant wait to see it. However, it always seems like when there's a lot of hype about a movie, it's hard to live up to expectations. Still...I can't wait to see it. It might be cool to see a movie with actual real life scenarios. Hopefully this will start a trend in Hollywood.

Have not seen it yet but it did look pretty good. The part in the trailer when the SEAL sniper takes out the guy on the boat and the SEAL in the water stops the fall was impressive. No doubt they carry Beckers, no doubt.

I saw it today, I liked it. Problem with the modern action movie is there's no acting courses for the SEAL teams. Most actors could only try to imitate fighting, martial arts, or military maneuvers such as the SEAL's. There's really no person that does both, except Jesse Ventura.
The only other problem with this movie was the lack of Beckers!

I want to see Haywire as well. The main actress, Gina Carano is a real MMA fighter. I want to see fight scenes without so many damn edits, this looks to be just that!

Act of Valor has nothing on Red Dawn when it comes to war movies if you ask me.

PS there needs to be more talk of Beckers in thread!
