Who saw Act of valor?

I thought it was well done and it made no apologies for our military doing their job. Honestly, I'll probably go see it again, just to let my money speak in support of the movie and the Seals who took their precious leave time to create it. My flag always flies high for the USA, but stuff like this makes me even more proud. God bless our troops.

Did yall know that they used live fire rounds throughout the whole movie...except the the scenes where people got shot

That and the fact the didnt pull a commando and shoot about 500 rounds in one mag made the movie worth seeing to me.

I saw the film on Friday. Liked it a lot.:thumbup: Expect to see it again before it leaves the theaters, to take in more detail. The caliber/report and rates of fire of the firearms was the best I have seen, er, heard.

I really want to see it, unfortunately it's not coming to cinemas here in Germany, so I'll have to wait for the DVD. Or the torrents :D

Dont go disrespecting Commando.

This is how things were done in 1985...shooting from the hip! :D

I saw it this past weekend and although it won't win any awards for the dialogue, the action sequences are well worth seeing. Overall I liked it and thought it was fairly realistic.

It may not have much to do with Beckers, but its an American Movie, starring American Soldiers, and nothing says USA like a BKT knife.

Plus, Ethan wants to see it, therefore it is now, Becker related. :D

On another note, I haven't seen it, I 'll have to wait for it to come out on BD, since, I don't go to the theaters unless its something the family drags me to.

Real bullets, real seals, and from what I've glommed from teh interwebz, a solid flick. Plus the score is off the chain too.

i'm SURE as sure can be we can get some screen caps and insert Beckers into them :)

The world isn't liking the USA right now, so, I've heard of bannings in some countries, and some no shows in others.

Seems we piss the world off sometimes, other times, they really like having us around. Go figure.

The world likes us a lot better now than 5 years ago brother! ;)

I guess I'll just get it on disc anyway, no point seeing an American movie in German! ;)

The acting was what you would expect, around Jr. Highschool Play type material but the action sequences were great. I agree with Wider though, Red Dawn is a movie from my childhood which won't be sated by the new Red Dawn coming out in the fall.

Yeah, well, that's true.

I prefer BD anyways, I have a kickass home entertainment system (that I don't use much), and I can pause/piss when I need to, have better snacks, drinks, and my woman can sit around in her night clothes to watch it.

Did I mention it costs me $40 to go to the movies? Yeah, BD are only $25. :D

My teen son and I loved it. The tactics were cool to see, and I didn't mind the acting done by the SEALs. The thing that struck me most, though, was how silent the theater was at the end. I think it made people reflect on what these men give and sacrifice in service.

The only tactic I thought got "Hollywood-ized" was the grenade scene in the tunnel. Why would they all be standing in one line?

Anyway, the fact that they could reload an M4A1 with precision was nice to see, for once. The scene where Chief Dave smokes the guy with his SIG P226 is more than enough to get a F*@& Yeah out of a crowd. I'm also more than a little jealous of the guys that get to run those GAU-17/A's.

$40 just covers 2 tickets here... if it's IMAX it's $42, IMAX 3D is $44.
