Was just wondering who does this on a regular basis? I was affraid to at first simply because the BM 42 is so pretty by itself and I didn't want to ruin the blade. But I did it anyway. Anyone else?

The ones I use get sharpened as needed. I use a Gatco Edgemate sharpening "system". I don't claim that it's the best sharpener on earth or that I'm the best at it, but it gives me good results.

I use an old Norton India stone that my Dad gave me.

Razor sharp.

I like throwing knives, they're quiet.

Get a Spyderco Sharpmaker with the diamond sleeves and you can sharpen most anything you so desire.......

I prefer a Lansky...then again, that's all I have with the exception of a couple of great ole Arkansas stones. I sharpen my users, okay edge for practice and an awesome edge on my "carries"!

Has anyone ever messed around with those sharpening wheels that you mount onto a standard 6" benchgrinder? I've heard pro and con about them but have a Berreta done with them that has a screamin' edge on it!

Best regards,

"Catch you on the flip side"!

I sharpen at least a knife a day using a Sharpmaker unless reprofiling is required then I switch to my lansky and finish the blade on my 204.
Dawkind...Where did you get your diamond sleeves?
