Alright axeheads, isn't it about time we delve into the history of another North American axe making great?! Operator agreed to do a write up to kick off a new axe manufacturer thread. What companies do you all want discuss and learn about next? Cast your vote!

We've already covered:
Collins
Kelly
Warren
Keen Kutter brand

Rixford, Walters, or any Maine company. I guess thats at least 3 votes, but you can probably see the trend (hint; North East).

When I bought my Woodings Verona Tool Works axe I had a hell of a time finding anything about the company, so that's my vote.

I would like to know more about PLUMB also. They were very popular here back in the day. I have a few and particularly like the pattern of the four pounder with nice rounded poll. I have one with a tempered poll also.

Plumb makes sense.

Can links to these manufacturer-specific threads be put into the top of the Axe Info sticky?
